hello hi hello

you did this thing and left your email: that was awesome, thanks.

we just crossed over 1000 users which is pretty awesome. about 90% of those people finished the baseline survey, and about 22% went on and answer even more questions.

overall the feedback has been great, but it’s been a little hard to tell what people are getting out of the results/plots. Our audience identifies as “more scientific”, which isn’t exactly surprising (and bodes well for expanding this with objective data eventually). But even for the scientifically minded – I can’t tell if the plots are interesting, and I just added a data explorer - which I find real interesting, but I'm not sure how intuitive (and I worry its just gonna cost me compute)

I need to file a patent on this somehow. How did 23andME approach this?

so if you read this far, come back and check it out, answer more questions (do the “monthly check-in”), and tell me what you think. even if it’s “I was just bored on the subway, dude.” or “wtf is going on with the rainbow pastel colors?”

but mostly thanks for coming the first time, it’s been amazing to see this thing actually working.

drew.
